PURPOSE: An anti-lock brake system of a vehicle is provided to control braking accurately and form braking pressure by pumping oil stored in an oil storage tank with an SR motor and a suction pump in operating a brake pedal. CONSTITUTION: An anti-lock brake system for a vehicle is composed of an emergency master cylinder(30) forming braking pressure in stepping on a brake pedal(10); an auxiliary normal open solenoid valve(31) formed in a hydraulic line(32) connecting the emergency cylinder to brakes(80,81,82,83); a pedal sensor(20) detecting operation of the brake pedal; and an SR motor(40) and a suction pump(41) installed in a hydraulic line connecting an oil storage tank(33) to brakes. Braking force is generated by transmitting braking pressure to brakes with pumping oil in stepping on the brake pedal.
