PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a room lamp for vehicle capable of securely attaching a room lamp to a mold roofing and a car body. SOLUTION: In an automobile room lamp comprised of at least a housing 2 housing a light source and a lens 3 arranged on the face at a room R side of the housing 2, both a first engaging means 10 capable of engaging and supporting from a room inside R side at an opening 8 of the molded roofing before assembling a vehicle and a second engaging means 13 capable of engaging and supporting from a room inside R side are formed at a skeleton member fixed to the room inside R side and projected from the housing 2 and molded roofing 6 can be supported near a room panel 4 by engaging the second engaging means with the skeleton member 5 when fixing the molded roofing 6 to the room inside R by previously temporary stopping the room lamp by means of the first engaging means 10.
