摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for controlling the radiation direction of a lighting apparatus such as a head light for a vehicle such as a truck corresponding to an inclination angle of the vehicle in the longitudinal direction wherein in order to detect the inclination angle of the vehicle correctly irrespective of variation of the road surface condition, the inclination angle of a vehicle body itself based on deflection of front and rear suspensions and a modified inclination angle of the vehicle based on deformation of front and rear tires are detected respectively and both of which outcomes are added to finally work out the inclination angel of the vehicle with respect to the road surface. SOLUTION: The amount of deflection of the front suspension 26 and the rear suspension 44 from the empty load condition are monitored respectively using ultrasonic sensors located at the vehicle body and between front and rear axles to work out the vehicle inclination angleα1 from both of the aforementioned data. The corrected inclination angleα2 based on deformation of front and rear tires from empty load is also worked out. Then,α1 andα2 are added to work out a 'should be' inclination angle of the vehicle which is compared with the current inclination angle of the vehicle to obtain a difference between them. An actuator is energized to adjust radiation direction based on the difference.</p>
