PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve drivability by setting an acceleration preferred by occupants in a constant-speed travel system for a vehicle. SOLUTION: The constant-speed travel system for vehicle controls a deviationΔV to be reduced, the deviationΔV determined by a vehicle speed VS detected by sensing a throttle openness for adjusting the horsepower of an engine mounted on a vehicle by a vehicle speed sensor 18, and a target vehicle speed VSET set by a driver. The constant-speed travel system is also provided with an acceleration selection switch 15 for setting and changing the vehicle acceleration for making the vehicle speed VS closer to the target vehicle speed VSET. According to the selected position (H, M, L) of the acceleration selection switch 15, an acceleration coefficient KH, KM, and KL are set, and a target accelerationαis acquired from the vehicle speed deviationΔV and acceleration coefficient KH, KM, and KL so that the vehicle speed control is made.
