<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a master cylinder capable of not only ensuring the perfor mance of fast fill and the performance of high flow, but also attaining cost reduction. SOLUTION: By setting an ineffective stroke of a stepped piston 16 until a small-diameter hydraulic pressure chamber side shutting-down part 201 is kept in a closed condition, at a longer level than the ineffective stroke of the stepped piston 16 until a large-diameter pressure chamber side shutting-down part 202 is kept in a closed condition, the large-diameter pressure chamber side shutting-down part 202 is formed into such a shut-down structure that accommodates high flow and fast fill, and has a short ineffective stroke, while small-diameter hydraulic pressure chamber side shutting-down part 201 is formed into such a shut-down structure that accommodates high flow and has a long ineffective stroke and a low cost.</p> |
