PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder and a test pattern whereby a test pattern for physical evaluation can be recorded to a recording medium under various set recording conditions (output density, size and format) in an image recorder particularly for medical use in which image data matching test pattern images are stored. SOLUTION: There are set a storage means 107 for storing image data matching test patterns including at least a chart for sharpness evaluation and a chart for graininess evaluation, a recording head unit 101 for forming the test pattern on the basis of image data stored in the storage means 107, and a control means 103 for evaluating at least either the sharpness or the graininess of images by measuring the formed test pattern. For example, a user or a serviceman can output the test pattern at any time upon necessities, so that a considerably high evaluation efficiency is exerted. |
