PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for an automobile capable of being easily manufactured even though it has the comparatively large and complex shape. SOLUTION: A center pillar 4 is composed of a pillar structural member 10 and a pillar cover 12. The pillar structural member 20 is made of a die cast and formed into the box shape of which one face is opened, and the opening 11 is covered with the pillar cover 12 to form the center pillar 4 composed of a hollow structure having a closed cross-section. The pillar structural member 10 and the pillar cover 12 are integrally bonded by a frictional stirring bonding or the like.
