PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated polyester film having excellent blocking resistance, flatness, windability and processing suitability and having excellent electromagnetic conversion characteristics when formed as a metal vapor-deposited thin film type magnetic recording medium. SOLUTION: The laminated polyester film comprises a polyester layer A containing inert particles A, and a polyester layer B laminated on one side surface of the layer A, having an intrinsic viscosity of the polymer of 0.55 or more and an end carboxyl group concentration of 36 eq/10<6> g or more and containing inert particles B of 0.001 to 1 wt% and having a mean particle size of 50 to 1,000 nm larger than that of the layer A.
