PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for obtaining data for diagnosing a living body utilizing an ultrahigh-frequency signal. SOLUTION: The apparatus and the method for obtaining the data for diagnosing the living body utilizing the ultrahigh-frequency signal is equipped with a signal transmission part for forming the ultrahigh-frequency(UHF) signal to radiate the first meridian point being one of two meridian points present in a meridian point section, a signal receiving part for receiving the ultrahigh-frequency(UHF) signal radiated from the second meridian point being other one of two meridian points to detect the magnitude of the ultrahigh-frequency(UHF) to output the ultrahigh-frequency(UHF) signal and a signal processing part for comparing the magnitude of the ultrahigh- frequency(UHF) signal received by the signal receiving part and that of the ultrahigh- frequency(UHF) signal formed in the signal transmission part to calculate conductivity at a time when the ultrahigh-frequency(UHF) signal passes through the meridian point section and calculating at least one of the change degree (first change degree) in the meridian point section of the conductivity and the change degree (second change degree) between different meridian points to output the calculation result as data for diagnosing the living body.
