摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image writing apparatus capable of rapidly and simply forming a block copy or executing a formation of a press plate. SOLUTION: In a laser unit 1, a plurality of semiconductor lasers (LD) are aligned and fixed, and further fixed to a support base 11. A radially moving direction of the irradiating position of the LD to a supporting drum 3 on which a heat-sensitive recording medium 2 is mounted, has most excellent irradiating efficiency, but the rays irradiating the drum are returned to the LD elements as they are so that the element might be damaged. Accordingly, it is better that the rays are incident to the drum at an angle slightly deviated from the radially moving direction. At an image writing time, the unit 1 is scanned in parallel with the drum axial direction. A temperature in a housing 4 is detected by a temperature sensor 5 made of an element such as a thermocouple, a thermistor or the like. As a temperature sensor 6 of the surface of the drum, a contact type temperature sensor or a non-contact type temperature sensor such as an infrared temperature sensor is used. A temperature in the apparatus is controlled in response to its temperature detection signal. As a method for controlling the temperature, the air set to the temperature by a temperature control fan 7 is supplied.</p>
