PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform multicolor printing for a color document with appropriate color reproduction without using an original color document again when ink deficient at the time of multicolor printing of the color document is supplemented. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises a color information extracting section 23 for extracting the information of each specified area of CMYK image data, information indicative of a character string existing in the relevant area, and information indicative of the CMYK component of the relevant character string, an image output section 30 for outputting the extracted area information, character string information and CMYK component information as a monochromatic document with color information, and a color information synthesizing section 24 for reproducing CMYK image data based on a monochromatic document with color information outputted from the image output section 30. |
