PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyor capable of holding and carrying billets of various outside diameter without changing parts. SOLUTION: In the conveyor which is installed on the line of a forging press to carry a billet B fed from the upstream side to a press body when a traveling belt 3 is traveled, a plurality of chucks 4 which are urged to hold the billet B are provided on the traveling belt 3, and an opening means 5 for press-opening the chucks against the urging force are disposed at the feeding position and the taking-out position of the billet B. When the chucks 4 are press-opened by the opening means 5, the billet B can be delivered. When the press-opening is released, the billet B is held by the chuck 4 irrespective of the outside diameter of the billet, and carried stably in a standing posture.
