PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edge polisher capable of increasing an operation speed by increasing a feeding speed of a working plate. SOLUTION: A sewing needle 1 is provided. The sewing needle 1 is provided with an opening cutout 2 in the tip vicinity. The sewing needle 1 is turned so as to be almost vertical to a support surface 3 for supporting an article 4 sewn by a shaft 1a. A sewing thread winding wheel 5 is arranged under the support surface 3. The sewing thread winding wheel 5 is composed of a fixed part 6 and a rotary part 7. The rotary part 7 is provided with a lower looper 11 engageable with a part 12a of a loop of sewing thread 12 projecting from the cutout 2, and is provided with a releasing means 13 for engaging with a part 12b of the loop of the sewing thread 12 projecting from the cutout 2, and releasing the sewing thread 12 from the sewing needle 1.
