PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous ink jet recording element, which has a crack-free and favorable whole appearance, a drying time quicker tan that of other one and little ink agglutination. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording element ahs a support and a porous image accepting layer including particles, a polyvinyl alcohol binder and a crosslinker and providing on the support. The particles have primary particle diameters of 7 to 40 nm allowing an aggregate having the maximum diameter of 300 nm to be formed. The crosslinker is present by at least 20 mass% of the polyvinyl alcohol binder. |
