PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimum seal that can eliminate adverse effect caused by such dirt that impedes sealing as oxides, residual matters of packaging contents or residues, as much as possible, even if packaging laminated materials are covered by such impurities. SOLUTION: In a heat seal system wherein a packaging material is formed into a tubular shape from a web of the packaging material, then the tubular packaging material with liquid foods filled in the tube is held between a seal jaw and its opposite seal jaw from an outside of the tube at a seal zone of the packaging material including a portion to be cut off and below a liquid level of the liquid foods to seal by heat in a traverse direction, an operating face of the seal jaw being in contact with the seal zone substantially has a flat face, and the system has a means on the operating face of the opposing jaw by which an operating face of the opposing jaw removes the dirt impeding the seal that tends to remain in the tube of the seal zone, from the seal zone, and/or mixes such dirt with partly fused/softened packaging materials of seal zone. |
