PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform excellent image recording by reducing the influence of external vibration. SOLUTION: An image recording device 2 is composed of a conveyance unit 4 and a recording unit 5. A vibration detecting means 31 is fitted to the conveyance unit 4 across an elastic body 32 made of a rubber material and a detection piece 33 is fitted to the lower part of the recording unit 5 respectively to detect vibrations of the conveyance unit 4. Further, a moving means 36 is fitted to the conveyance unit 4 and the recording unit 5 is so moved as to cancel the generated vibrations. If vibrations are generated, for example, in the vertical scanning direction of a photosensitive recording material 3 (as shown by an arrow (b) in Fig.) by the motor 26 of the recording unit 5 and the driving motor 39 of the conveyance unit 4 during the operation of the image recording device 2, the vibration detecting means 31 detects the vibrations and outputs them to a control circuit 35 through a system controller 34. The controller 35 prevents an image from deteriorating owing to the vibration by driving the moving means 36 so that the vibrations are canceled.
