The wristwatch case (1) contains a permanent magnet (8) which is free to move within a plastic tube (5). The tube is aligned with the 6-12 hour axis and one section supports an induction coil (6). Wrist rotation induces a coil voltage which is supplied to an electronic unit (7). If the voltage exceeds a threshold a battery (9) is connected to a light (10) for a fixed time provided that a photoelectric cell (11) is not activated by daylight.
