Synergistic pesticidal composition for control of insects and/or members of the order acarina comprises emamectin and e.g. azamethiphos, chlorfenvinphos, cypermethrin, dicyclanil, pymetrozine. - DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A composition for the control of insects and/or members of the order acarina comprises a combination of emamectin (A), or a salt, and one or more of azamethiphos, chlorfenvinphos, cypermethrin, cypermethrin high-cis, cyromazine, diafenthiuron, diazinon, dichlorovos, dicrotophos, dicyclanil, fenoxycarb, fluazuron, furathiocarb, isazofos, jodfenphos, kinoprene, lufenuron, methacriphos, methidathion, monocrotophos, phosphamidon, profenofos, diofenolan, pymetrozine, bromopropylate, methoprene, disulfoton, quinalphos, tau-fluvalinate, thiocyclam, thiometon, propetamphos, formothion, dienochlor or a product obtainable from a strain of Bacillus thuringiensis, in free form or salt form; and at least one adjuvant. - ACTIVITY - Pesticide. - Young cabbage plants are sprayed with an aqueous emulsion spray mixture. After the spray deposit has dried, the cabbage plants are populated with 10 third-instar caterpillars of Plutella xylostella. Three days later they are evaluated. A suspension spray mixture comprising 400 ppm emamectin and 40 ppm of dichlorvos was very effective.
