SOLUTION: Information including reproduction information subject to reproduction, and reproduction permitted period information associated with time, a period, etc., during which the reproduction is permitted, is recorded on a recording medium 31. A signal processing part 22 separates and extracts the reproduction information and the reproduction permitted period information from a signal extracted by a pickup 21 from the recording medium 31. Current time information such as a current date and time is held in a current time information holding part 23, and a reproduction permission deciding part 24 collates the reproduction permitted period information of the recording medium 31 with the current time information of the current time information holding part 23 to decide whether or not the reproduction of the recording medium 31 is permitted. Then, in the case where it is decided that the reproduction is permitted by the current time information holding part 23, the reproduction information is outputted to a monitor 40 from a reproduction control part 25.
