<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional display device which suppresses power consumption at the time of detecting the absence of a synchronizing signal of a display signal to be supplied from a personal computer has been incapable of distinguishing whether the absence of the synchronizing signal is caused by disconnection of the power source of the personal computer and, consequently a user has had to operate the display device after all. SOLUTION: This invention improves the convenience by performing the discrimination by determining whether the input of the synchronizing signal has disappeared within a set time after it is detected that the display mode has been brought into a specified display mode.</p> |
