METHOD FOR ESTIMATING VISCOSITY OF SLAG OF GAS FURNACE

PURPOSE: A method for estimating viscosity of slag of a gas furnace is provided to allow for ease of estimation through the use of temperature and composite basicity. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step of obtaining a first equation of P1=-aT+b which defines a correlation between the temperature and viscosity of slag, by measuring and analyzing the viscosity of slag changing in accordance with the change of temperature; a second step of obtaining a second equation of P2=-cB+d which defines a correlation between the composite basicity and viscosity of slag, by measuring and analyzing the viscosity of slag changing in accordance with the change of composite basicity; a third step of obtaining a third equation of P=-aT-cB+e for estimating viscosity of slag by using first and second equations; and a fourth step of estimating viscosity of slag by applying the temperature and composite basicity to the third equation.
