PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To draw a finer pattern by improving a long cycle of interference pattern in boundary image processing. SOLUTION: This is an image former which can perform gradation processing including plural cycles of net processing, and this has object boundary detecting functions (S4 and S6) which detect the boundary between different cycles in net processing on a processing image, and noise adding functions (S7, S8, and S8) which superpose random numbers, as noise, to the picture element region on the detected boundary. In the object boundary detection, this selects the side where the net cycle is long as the picture element region at the boundary. In noise addition, in the case that the drawing picture element is binary, this inverts the picture element when the random value gets over the threshold. At that time, this adjusts the threshold, according to the change on standing or individual difference of image former and external environment. Moreover, when the drawing picture element is not binary and some gradations can be expressed by picture elements, in noise addition this grades random numbers and graduation values properly prior to addition, and makes the output value a new graduation value. |
