The device uses a regulated pressure head generator whereby the differential pressure is built up dynamically via a pressure head nozzle and is continuously maintained by a source. A pressure produces a gas flow through a valve and pulsations are damped by a series filter and/or a compensation volume. The pressure is applied to a reference sensor and a sensor to be calibrated.
