PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portrait communication device which can visually transmit sender's feelings to a recipient with a small amount of data before an electric communication line is connected between terminals. SOLUTION: Included are a transmitter 1 which has a means for specifying expression of feelings that a sender has, a means for generating portrait information corresponding to specified expression, and a means for sending the portrait information and a communication connection establishment request and a receiver 2 which is connected to the transmitter 1 and has a means for receiving the portrait information and communication connection establishment request, a means for drawing a portrait with expression according to the portrait information, and a means for displaying the portrait with the expression.
