PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a the see-through backside image in order to hold fine continuous portions of an original image on the surface of a manuscript having color prints on both sides of a paper when the surface image is digitally processed. SOLUTION: Before and after a process, a pre-process such as A/D conversion, density correction, etc., and an intermediate process, etc., are executed, respectively, as usual. The method comprises (S2) pre-processing a color image inputted (S1) from an input I/F such as filtering for removing noise, (S3) detecting those pixels having a high possibility of see-through backside imaging in the pre-processed input color image, (S4) correcting those pixels having a high possibility of see-through backside imaging for the see-through backside imaging in order to hold fine continuous portions in an original image, and (S5) outputting a backside imaging corrected image by an output I/F. |
