<p>A process suitable for effecting evacuation, or compressing a gas, involves an appts in which an adsorbent material, pref. a clay compressed onto a substrate of Al ribbon, is cooled e.g. by liquid N2 during adsorption and heated electrically for desorption, one of these processes being continuous. Pref. electrical heating is applied only during desorption, with sufficient power to overcome cooling effect of refrigerant, which is applied continuously.</p> |
