PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extrapolation face producing method that hardly makes calculation errors even in the case of automatically preparing the extrapolation face of a product model by a parametric CAD device. SOLUTION: A division point where a designation line designated as an extrapolation face production part is formed on the outer circumferential edge of the product model (S100), and a straight line is produced on the division point (S102). The straight line is projected onto a product face (S104), and an extension line that extends to an outer direction being a direction where the extension line comes into contact with a projection line projected from the division point is produced (S106). A face (extrapolation face) is produced (S110) on in an area surrounded by the designation line, the extension line and a connection line by connecting the respective end points of the extension line in an extension direction with the connection line.
