PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a simple and efficient fault restoring system in a mesh network. SOLUTION: In the network connecting respective nodes F to N by a plurality of optical fibers like a mesh, a ring net dynamically consisting of working systems W1, W2 and stand-by systems P1, P2 is constituted in response to a pass setting request, and when a fault is generated in the working systems W1, W2, respective nodes mutually execute signaling for fault restoration and the stand-by systems P1, P2 are allowed to by-pass traffic to restore the fault. In the case of constituting the ring, a ring map including ring chain information, the port information of respective nodes of channels constituting the ring, node numbers locally allocated to the ring, etc., is added to respective nodes constituting the ring and the stand-by channels P1, P2 are shared by a plurality of rings. |
