<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To naturally remove the texture image from image data even for stacked manuscripts or manuscripts having nonuniform texture levels. SOLUTION: The image processor comprises an image input unit 1 for inputting image data, a texture detector 3 for detecting the texture level of the inputted image data, a stacked manuscript judging unit 4 for judging whether the image data are of a stacked manuscript based on a user-designated texture level or the texture level detected by the level detector 3, a texture level adjuster 5 for adjusting the texture level according to a distribution of the texture levels detected by the level detector 3 if determined to be the clad manuscript, and a texture removing processor 6 for removing the texture from the image data at the texture level adjusted by the level adjuster 5.</p> |
