PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of spark plug, which is formed by resistance-welding a noble metal tip as a spark discharging member on a center electrode and an earthed electrode capable of adequately welding, while simplifying a structure of a jig so as to hold the noble metal tip in resistance-welding. SOLUTION: The noble metal tip 31 and the center electrode 30 are resistance-welded, in a state of a tip holding jig 60 having a mold 61 of the desired shape being prepared under the center electrode 30, the noble metal tip 31 is arranged on an inlet of the mold 61, and the noble metal tip 31 is pressed to the jig 60 by the center electrode 30. |
