PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety, when a speaker is protected from an excess input. SOLUTION: The protective element is provided with a lamp 15, that is connected in series with the speaker for protecting the speaker from excess input and a light shield case 16 that houses the lamp 15. An interval between lead wires 153A, 153B of the lamp 15 is set to be a prescribed interval and a prescribed inert gas is sealed in a vessel 151, to cause discharge at a prescribed voltage between the lead wires 153A, 153B.
