PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device control method and a device control system, where devices exist in a limited space, a control object device is simply registered to a remote control terminal, when the remote control terminal controls the devices and the remote control terminal conducts diversified device control operations. SOLUTION: The remote control terminal is placed within a range where communications with devices are possible, so as to exchange information with each device and check the presence of a registration available device (step s1). When registration available device exists, it is registered as a control object device and notified to a user (steps s2 to s4). The system enters a command wait state from a user, and when a command is entered, the system conducts a prescribed processing corresponding to the command. When the command indicates operation control to a device, the system conducts operation control of a device, corresponding to the command. When the command indicates information acquisition from the device, the system acquires information from the device (steps s5 to s7). Furthermore, a voice recognition function is provided to the remote control terminal, to attain device control by a voice command.
