PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute high-efficiency photovoltaic generation without providing a buffer layer for obtaining a P-N junction in contact with a light absorbing layer at all. SOLUTION: A field-effect solar cell is constituted in a structure that a compound semiconductor layer formed using any of a CuInSe2 layer, a CuInGaSe2 layer and a CuInS2 layer is used to a light absorbing layer, and a P-N junction is electrically constituted by applying an electric field which inverts the conductivity type of the surface layer of the light absorbing layer to the light absorbing layer to generate a photoelectromotive force. |
