PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical expense payment system for substantially reducing the burden of medical expense on a patient even when the burden of the medical expense is increased. SOLUTION: The medical expense payment system is for allowing a user to pay the medical expense at a medical institution. First, this system receives information on points to be given when the user purchases merchandise or a service at a member shop from the terminal 4 of the member shop through a communication network. Then, the information on these points is stored into a point information storage part 24 for each user. When the points are used for paying the medical expense at the medical institution by the user, information on the used points is received from the terminal 3 of the medical institution through the communication network. Then, point information stored in the part 24 is updated. |
