PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embed an electronic watermark, and to reproduce original digital data of an object to be embedded. SOLUTION: When the position of any pixel overflowing due to addition or subtraction is present, all the coordinates are detected by an overflow chart area detector 201. Then, an encoder 202 composites and encodes detected information R and additive information Inf to be embedded, and prepared information (w) to be actually embedded. An electronic watermark embedding part 203 embeds the information (w) as an electronic watermark at the position of a pixel which does not overflow by excluding any overflowing pixel from an object to be embedded. |
