PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct distortion of an image caused when a main object close to an image pickup section of a portable phone is imaged. SOLUTION: The portable phone 1 with an image pickup section 2 is provided with a distortion correction section 201 that correct distortion caused by magnifying a depth perception when the image pickup section 2 images a face of a user set closer to the image pickup section 2. The distortion correction section 201 applies a process to magnify a circumferential part of an image with respect to the middle of the image to generate corrected image data 232. Thus, a natural image of the face of the user is displayed on a display device 11 of the portable phone or transmitted.
