PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming device which is made light in weight and small-sized. SOLUTION: This color image forming device is provided with an intermediate transfer body 20 by which the primary transfer T1 of an image formed on the surface of an image carrier 10 is performed and also the secondary transfer T2 of the image to a recording material S is performed and a driving mechanism 30 having a motor 31 to rotate and drive the image carrier and the intermediate transfer body, and a fly-wheel 33 is coaxially provided with a common branching gear 32 by which motive power from the motor is branched and transmitted to an image carrier driving gear 14 to drive the image carrier and an intermediate transfer body driving gear 27 to drive the intermediate transfer body. The branching gear is made as the motive power transmission gear of a final stage for the image carrier driving gear and the intermediate transfer body driving gear. The number of teeth of the branching gear is set smaller than those of the image carrier driving gear and the intermediate transfer body driving gear. |
