PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a semiconductor memory having a plurality of kinds of storage capacity/address space in one chip constitution. SOLUTION: A state of the prescribed internal column address signal bit (CA<9:8>) is selectively fixed conforming to a mode switching circuit (8), and a specific row address signal bit (RA<12>) is transmitted instead of a column address signal bit (CA<9>) under control of the mode switching circuit (8).
