PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for editing indications which present what function the respective musical representation rules among multiple musical representation rule sets have which allow a user to select any one when an electronic musical instrument gives various musical representations to the playing data for automatic playing and a program relating to the method. SOLUTION: Icons showing the retrieval data for specifying an object part to be edited in the playing data and the template data showing the contents of editing performed to the editing object part retrieved by means of the retrieval data are displayed and a user selects icons. The playing data to be edited are retrieved by means of a retrieval data corresponding to the selected icon to specify the editing object part and the specified part is edited according to the template data corresponding to the icon selected. The icons are easy- to-see pictures or patterns representing the contents of the retrieval data and template data. |
