PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable terminal equipment for a CDMA type transmission/reception system capable of transmitting/receiving user data information and control information like a burst by using only a common channel. SOLUTION: In the portable terminal equipment 100, a sound signal is encoded and compressed through a microphone 18, and A/D converter 17a and a sound CODEC 16, the encoded data are packeted in a fixed section by a packet conversion part 15, the packet data are mapped not to an individual channel but to a common control channel by a radio protocol control part 14, and the mapped data are transmitted through a common channel coding part 13, a common channel spread modulation part 12, an RF part 11, and an antenna 10. The receiving signal received through the common control channel is outputted as a sound from a speaker 19 through a finger part 21, a common channel demodulation part 22, a common channel decoding part 23, and succeeding parts 14, 15, 16 and 17b. |
