PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission line, an electromagnetic wave shielding device and a microwave oven, capable of handling multiple frequencies using a simple and single constitution. SOLUTION: An attenuation groove 5 with a length of L, which is formed on a door 2 and on a plane facing a heating chamber 1, is filled with a dielectric 10. When the dielectric constant at a lower limit f1 of the fundamental frequency isε1, and the dielectric constant at an upper limit f2 isε1, relations of f2/f1=k andε2/ε1=1/k2 are obtained. Increase in transmission lines, which would accompany increase of frequencies can be offset with decrease of transmission lines which would accompany decease in the dielectric constant, thereby realizing a transmission line appropriate for multiple frequencies using a simple and single constitution.
