PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display information on a name, etc., on a telephone terminal on a call-incoming side by a call-originator number when notifying the call- originator number when the call-originator number and registration information on the name, etc., are not registered on the telephone terminal on the call- incoming side. SOLUTION: An information providing system utilizing a function of notifying the call-originator number is provided with an information providing part for registering information on a call originator corresponding to the call-originator number to provide the information to the telephone terminal and an information request part of the call-originator number for requesting providing of the information to the information providing part from the telephone terminal when information on the given call-originator number is not registered to the telephone terminal.
