PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type television receiver in which the mounting accuracy of optical components is enhanced and the investment on a metallic die of exterior parts is reduced. SOLUTION: The projection type television receiver is provided with optical components such as a mirror 3, an optical unit 2, and a screen 4, which are arranged on a basic frame 1 with high accuracy. Exterior member such as a bottom plate 6, a ceiling plate 11, side plates 8, 9, and a rear cover 10 are mounted on the basis frame.
