PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use a dead space in an outer shell easing with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The tape cassette consists of an outer shell casing 1 made by uniting an upper shell 2 and a lower shell 3, and a pair of tape reels 7 housed in the outer shell casing. The tape cassette is provided with an opening part 14 formed in one side of the upper shell or the lower shell, guide walls 15 and 16 erected along the outer periphery of the pair of tape reels from at least either of the upper shell and the lower shell, and a space 17 for housing small articles formed by the guide walls, the upper shell, and the lower shell.
