PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas leakage alarm automatically periodically inspected to see if the gas leakage alarm including a gas sensor is functioning normally even without an inspection person coming to a household. SOLUTION: An inspection gas generating means 101 generates inspection gas by controlling an inspection gas generating means 4 on the basis of measured time information acquired from a time measuring means. A gas sensor inspecting means 102 inspects the gas sensor 3 on the basis of a detection output provided from the gas sensor 3 in response to the inspection gas. An inspection result by the gas sensor inspecting means 102 is outputted from a gas sensor normality signaling means 103 or a gas sensor anomaly signaling means 104. By this, whether the gas leakage alarm itself including the gas sensor 3 is functioning normally can be periodically recognized by a user side. Consequently, there is no more need for a periodic inspection by a professional inspection person.
