PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device the components of its optical system of which are laid out within a short distance without degrading the resolution and to provide an information device with a low profile such as a portable phone with the image pickup device mounted thereon. SOLUTION: The optical axes of lenses 1, 2 forming a lens array 11 and adjacent to each other in a longitudinal or lateral direction are selected in parallel with a shift of (n+0.5)×P, where P is a size of pixels of sensor elements 3a, 3b-3n and n is an integer of 2 or over.
