PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device by which an operation is easily performed to move an upper side main body to a closing position and excessive stress is not applied on an upper side main body. SOLUTION: In a printer 1, the inclination of an abutment surface between a cam follower 33 and a cam groove 37 is made to be the one for moving the cam follower 33 to the front side of the printer 1 within a first range near the front side of the printer 1 and made to be the one for permitting the cam follower 33 not to move along the cam groove 37 within a second range near the rear side of the printer 1. When the upper side main body 5 is rotated to the side of the closing position and the cam follower 33 is made to reach the first range of the cam groove 37, a moment is generated to rotate the upper main body 5 to the closing position and, then, the upper main body 5 is moved to the closing position by its own weight. When the upper side main body 5 is rotated to the side of an opening position and the cam follower 33 is made to reach the second range of the cam groove 37, the movement for rotating the upper main body 5 is not generated so that the upper main body 5 stands still at an optional position. |
