PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a sufficient vertical bias magnetic filed cannot be supplied to a free magnetic layer and the free magnetic layer is difficult to be made into a single magnetic domain by tapering the tip part of a second antiferromagnetic layer in the conventional exchange bias system of a magnetic detection element. SOLUTION: In a bottom-type spin bulb-like thin film element, respective layers are laminated, and a part of the second ferromagnetic layer 31 which is not covered by an electrode layer 33 and a first free magnetic layer 28 is removed with the electrode layer 33 as a mask. Thus, the left tip part 31a of the second ferromagnetic layer 31 is not tapered and a sufficient exchange connection magnetic field can be given to the first free magnetic layer 28. Consequently, the magnetization of the second free magnetic layer 30 can be made into the single magnetic domain. |
