PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience and operability for a user by performing automatic dubbing to a second large capacity recording medium. SOLUTION: When a first portable recording medium (CD or the like) is played back, dubbing recording is performed automatically to the second large capacity recording medium (HDD or the like). When the first recording medium is played back particularly, a database means is retrieved on the basis of identification information on the first recording medium, and execution control of dubbing recording is performed according to a result of retrieved recording history information. For example, it is discriminated whether or not the data played back from the first recording medium are already recorded on the second recording medium, and dubbing recording is performed if the data to be played back are not recorded on the second recording medium. |
