PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera that requires no high storage capacity, has a lightweight and compact configuration and can display a current position in cross-reference with a position on an image of map. SOLUTION: Since an image display device 9 displays the image of map on the basis of image data in cross-reference with the image of map when a CCD2 photographs the image of map and it is not required to store e.g. the image of map of the whole of Japan and having only to photograph only a required image of map can display the image, a low storage capacity of data is enough. Since an MPU5 cross-references a position of the electronic camera 100 with the image of map displayed on an image display device 9 on the basis of the latitude and longitude entered as information with respect to positions of two points at least on the globe by means of a GPS receiver 50, it is possible to display a position of an operator possessing the electronic camera 100 and its locus or the like. |
